Waywords and Meansigns, Vol. 1
In late 2014 I was asked by Waywords and Meansigns to contribute a chapter. I went to college with Derek Pyle and Kelley Kipperman, the original organizers of the project. Although to my knowledge Kelley ended up not being involved in the project, it should be said that they had originally brought both me and Dérive on board. Anyway, they had this idea to create a musical audiobook of James Joyce's novel Finnegans Wake. What was achieved is really cool and I can't believe that I got to be a part of it. Derek liked it so much that he made ANOTHER edition which included Mike Watt of all people! (And hearing Mike Watt play some of my contribution on his podcast and actually saying my name and discussing my music is one of the coolest experiences of my entire life.) Dérive contributed a chapter to the first edition and I did as well. Derek ended up making a third edition, this time having some of his favorite artists from the first two just contribute a setting of one page.
